The Service Coordinator oversees the scheduling, coordination, and quality control of Service Projects. This role involves ensuring timely and efficient completion of service jobs while maintaining high safety and customer satisfaction standards. The Senior Service Coordinator will also serve as a mentor and leader for junior coordinators and other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Plan and schedule service projects in coordination with the service manager and operations team
Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, and manpower are available for scheduled projects
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines
Purchase Order Generation:
Create Purchase Orders (POs) based on the work orders and project requirements
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Track and manage POs to ensure budget compliance and project timelines
Quality Control:
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the project
Ensure all safety protocols are being executed
Customer Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project updates and inquiries
Address customer concerns and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
Conduct post-service follow-ups to ensure long-term satisfaction
Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior coordinators and other team members
Facilitate training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of project schedules, materials, and customer communications
Prepare reports on project status, budgets, etc.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Service Coordinator, experience in the roofing industry preferred
Strong organization and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and safety regulations
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based role with occasional site visits
Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction hazards
