Job Description


As our new Service Assistant, you will support many critical day-to-day service operations. Various duties will include, but are not limited to; service parts inventory management, parts identification and support, quoting assistance for follow-up service work, support with service trip planning, and providing administrative and quoting support with planned maintenance agreements. The position is based out of our office located in Edmonton, Alberta.

This is a temporary full-time position required for maternity leave coverage with potential for future growth as the successful candidate may be considered for future permanent full-time employment elsewhere within the company.

Daily activities will include:
  • Service parts inventory management.
  • Monitoring stocking levels of service parts for all Alberta branch locations and satellite service personnel.
  • Ordering service parts required for planned maintenance agreements.
  • Verifying replenishment of technician truck stock.
  • Tracking of critical parts orders for all service work that is in progress.
  • Service parts identification and support.
  • Quoting of follow-up service work as prescribed by technicians on service work orders.
  • Administrative support with the quoting of planned maintenance agreements.
  • Administrative tasks and updates using our business operating system.
  • Utilize computer, business systems, and software programs.
  • Interact with personnel in all departments as required to resolve customer issues.
  • Respond professionally to customers - phone calls, emails, face-to face.
  • Making follow-up phone calls to verify customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma mandatory. Post-secondary diploma or certificate is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of customer service operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Professional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong technical writing skills, with experience preparing technical sales quotations/proposals.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a cohesive team.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Accountability and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, frequently changing, high-volume environment, and perform consistent, high quality, work.
  • Technical aptitude and basic comprehension of technical manuals, parts manuals, equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in handling frequent paperwork and documentation processes.
  • Ability to work at a computer station while sitting at desk for extended periods of time.
  • Understanding of basic accounting procedures.
  • Tech savvy, with operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with computers.
  • No criminal record.
  • High level of integrity and ethical values.
  • Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI\xe2\x80\x99s in previous 5 years.
  • Seeking candidates eligible for employment locally in the Edmonton, Alberta region.
