Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS. Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, adhering to food safety and food handling standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities. Ensure responsible serving practices in compliance with alcohol laws and regulations. Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages. Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving. Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Manage time effectively to serve multiple guests efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending roles. Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements. Experience with food industry operations is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
