This is an excellent opportunity for a Japanese-speaking SEO and web marketing professional with at least two years of experience to contribute their expertise and gain hands-on experience in a leading international firm.
About the Role
As an
SEO/Web Marketing Intern [Japanese Department]
at Life Journey, you will help strengthen our online presence and execute digital marketing initiatives targeting our Japanese-speaking audience. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to implement SEO strategies, optimize content, and support digital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Optimization:
Develop and implement SEO strategies for the Japanese market to increase website visibility and organic traffic.
Conduct in-depth keyword research tailored to Japanese users.
Optimize website content, blog posts, and landing pages for SEO best practices.
Build site authority through effective link-building.
Perform SEO audits and recommend improvements.
Content Marketing & Localization:
Write and optimize SEO-friendly content in Japanese and English.
Research and create localized content aligned with audience interests.
Ensure website messaging is culturally relevant and appealing to Japanese visitors.
Web Marketing & Analytics:
Monitor site performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
Track and analyze digital KPIs, prepare performance reports.
Assist with paid campaigns on Google Ads and Japanese platforms (Yahoo! Japan, Google Japan).
Social Media & Digital Outreach:
Support Japanese social media channels (Twitter, LINE, Instagram, Facebook).
Develop strategies to grow engagement and followers.
Identify opportunities for influencer or media partnerships.
Requirements
Fluent in Japanese (Native or Business level)
Proficient in English (Business level)
Minimum 2 years' experience in SEO and web marketing
Proven success with SEO strategies targeting Japanese audiences
Familiar with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
Skilled in content creation, keyword research, digital marketing
Strong analytical mindset, able to derive actionable insights
Passion for international education and global marketing
Preferred:
Experience with Japanese digital marketing platforms (LINE Ads, Twitter Ads, Yahoo! Japan SEO)
Basic HTML, CSS, or WordPress knowledge for SEO improvements
