The location of this job is flexible, based out of one of our 11 office locations in Western Canada.

WONDERING WHAT YOU\'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain.
  • Lead projects focused on river engineering, fish habitat restoration, and natural stream channel design.
  • Provide technical leadership in multi-disciplinary project teams to identify, develop, design, and execute projects.
  • Provide engineering leadership within the water resources engineering and habitat restoration teams, continually update best-practices, and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with EGBC professional practice guidelines.
  • Take part in business development, R&D, and internal process development related to engineering and restoration projects.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineering technical staff.

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
  • Degree in civil or water resource engineering, graduate degree considered an asset.
  • P.Eng., with experience working in a team leadership role, consulting experience is an asset.
  • 20+ years working on design and implementation of water resources projects with a focus on geomorphology, river engineering, fish habitat restoration, and natural stream channel design.
  • Experience with construction contract management and overseeing construction contractors during the construction of in-stream works projects.
  • Works well in an interdisciplinary team including biologists, other professionals, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Pacific Salmon habitat restoration experience is an asset.
  • Hydraulic modeling, and hydraulic structures design experience is considered an asset.
  • Design of hydraulic structures is considered an asset.
  • Work in foreshore and estuarine habitats is an asset.
