The Technical Challenge

You'll architect the multiplayer backbone for a competitive FPS supporting millions of players:

Core Systems You'll Own:

Matchmaking architecture and dedicated server lifecycle management in Unreal 5 Fleet orchestration for global deployment with sub-60ms latency targets Netcode optimization for tournament-integrity hit registration and rewind Complex replication: projectile physics, material penetration, AI state machines Social infrastructure: friends, parties, voice chat, persistent progression Backend service integration at massive scale (PlayFab/AccelByte/Pragma)

Your Profile:

3+ years shipping multiplayer games with C++ and Unreal Engine Deep experience with server architecture and matchmaking systems Track record optimizing replication for competitive FPS gameplay BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent battlefield experience Collaborative mindset for working with world-class designers

Unreal Online Subsystem architecture Extraction shooter or hardcore FPS development Backend platforms and LiveOps at scale GAS (Gameplay Ability System) for multiplayer
