Position: Senior Training Specialist
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement
The Ontario Public Service (OPS) seeking a Senior Training Specialist to lead the design, development, and delivery of training and communication strategies for MIS and HRIS solutions across healthcare service providers. This role involves creating curriculum, managing online learning systems, facilitating stakeholder sessions, and ensuring compliance with privacy and security standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, accessible training aligned with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
Scope
Design, develop, and review training curriculum and documentation for MIS and HRIS implementations
Support and maintain online Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Facilitate working groups, webinars, and information sessions to assess training needs
Create and manage project communications through approval workflows
Deliver technical training on MIS and HRIS software, including reporting needs and legislative.
Assignment Deliverables
Comprehensive training materials and documentation
Updated LMS content and support guides
Approved communication artifacts for projects and departments
Knowledge transfer documentation for MIS/HRIS systems.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
2+ years of public-sector experience in healthcare
Knowledge of PHIPA and its application to MIS/HRIS systems
Proven ability to design, develop, and review training documentation
Experience with online learning systems (support and maintenance)
Strong facilitation skills for working groups and webinars
Nice to Have:
Experience customizing MIS reports for healthcare clients
Familiarity with OHRS standards and Materials Management Systems (MMS)
Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (Quadrant: HR, Payroll, Scheduling, Leave Management, QSS modules).
