  • Provide technical expertise, with a strong field background, in more than one of avian, botanical, wildlife, bats, or arborist surveys
  • Build positive relationships with internal clients, and existing GHD clients along with developing new clients
  • Provide mentorship while encouraging an upbeat and collaborative environment
  • Lead the development of scope including fieldwork plans, reporting as well as permitting, authorizations, and approvals (MECP, Conservation Authorities, SARA, etc.), and author reports
  • Manage the development of proposals, including field programs and budgets
  • Provide technical input on the natural environment components of Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies, and Natural Heritage Studies while coordinating technical resources and personnel
  • Provide data interpretation in the context of environmental regulations, preparation or review of environmental reports, and regulatory submissions
  • Occasional travel to sites, primarily in Ontario
  • Lead field investigations as required
What you will bring to the team:
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven consulting experience weighted towards wildlife and terrestrial ecosystems
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Biology, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent education. A graduate degree is considered an asset
  • Outstanding communication skills and technical writing ability
  • Experience managing teams
  • Demonstrated consulting experience and interest in assessing impacts on terrestrial ecosystems in at least one of these sectors: transportation, land development, aggregates, energy, waste management, or mining
  • Proven project and client management skills including building budgets and effectively managing projects
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • A valid driver\'s license along with a clean driver\'s abstract
