Senior Technician Service Repair

Job Description

As a Senior Technician - Service Repair, you will operate on site at customer locations. You will provide advanced equipment installation, diagnose equipment problems, schedule repairs, and trains customer employees on how to maintain equipment. You will develop and present proposals and quotes to clients for repair, service and rental follow-up. You will also identify issues and possible solutions and brings to management's attention. Additionally, you will determine potential strategies to improve service.


Responsibilities:



Works with other service repair technicians to develop and present proposals and quotations to clients for repair, service, and rental follow-up. Ensures service team completes repair and rental activity log on daily. Makes departmental recommendations on work orders, workflow, and staff safety training. Monitors and tracks monthly sales for service and repair department and reports statistics to operations Branch manager and branch manager. Provides on-site and in-house product demonstrations, including use of air filtration and respiratory equipment. Service and repair restoration, abatement, respiratory, and confined space equipment. Conducts in-house or on-site DOP testing. Conducts respiratory fit testing service either in-house or customer site. Conducts HazSafeID inspections. Updates customers and sales reps with equipment rental and repairs status. Prepares for, attends, and participates in branch and departmental meetings. Remains current on industry trends, market activity, competitor products and technical bulletins provided by suppliers.

Qualifications:



Valid Driver's License, with a satisfactory driving record required High School Degree or equivalent required WHMIS, TDG, Forklift certification required. + WHMIS certified - based on local chemicals and products
+ TDG certified, based on possible movement of asbestos containing materials
3 years required, 5 years preferred of service and repair experience. 3 years required, 5 years preferred of customer service experience. 3 years required, 5 years preferred of diagnostic experience. Ability to quickly process information, find solutions to problems and make decisions Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Experience using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment devices Mechanically inclined

Compensation Details $29.40 - $36.75 Per Hour

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.



For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of the total compensation package.
