ADGA Group Consultants Inc is hiring a Senior Technical Architect to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of the governmentaEUR(TM)s IT infrastructure, increase productivity across departments and agencies and support the vision of a modern public service.

Job Tasks:

  • Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application or solution area, to meet the business and application requirements.
  • Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems.
  • Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology. Provide information, direction and support for emerging technologies.
  • Perform impact analysis of technology changes, including documenting risks and issues and options to manage/resolve.
  • Provide advice and support to project managers with respect to managing scope change and corresponding risks and issues.
  • Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure.
  • Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a three-year college diploma (computer science or other IT-related field; OR A university degree at the Bachelor level in Information Technology (computer science or engineering) or other IT-related field; OR A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in the IT field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) yearsaEUR(TM) experience performing tasks similar to those listed above
  • Experience working as a Technology Architect on a minimum of two (2) different projects in IT organizations, with at least 2,000 employees
  • Experience as a Technology Architect on over five (5) IM/IT projects valued at $3M or more in each of the following:
  • Providing impact analysis and cost-benefit analysis of new processes and solutions
  • Providing support to IT support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure
  • Providing IT system analysis, design, development, testing, and capacity planning
  • Analyzing, evaluating, and documenting alternative technology solutions to meet business requirements
  • Experience working on over five (5) projects in drafting and publishing comprehensive technology plans, identifying current technology states, challenges, and future states while considering service-oriented architectures, converging communications networks, platform optimization (mainframe and mid-tier), and Data Center consolidations (data center operations) for an enterprise-wide or public sector organization
  • Over seven (7) years of experience, within the last ten years, developing technology architecture roadmaps and/or strategies for an enterprise-wide or public sector organization
  • Over seven (7) years of experience conducting technology architecture reviews/assessments and providing recommended management action plan (MAP) remedial activities for an enterprise-wide or public sector organization
  • Over five (5) years of experience in knowledge transfer and cross-training within a multidisciplinary organization.
  • Completed training covering QualiWare Lifecycle Manager (QLM) OR at least one year of hands-on experience using QualiWare to create architecture artifacts.
Additional Information

Normal Working Hours

Normal working hours will be no earlier than 07:00 to no later than 18:00 Eastern Time Monday through Friday (with the exception of statutory holidays as defined by the province of work). The Contractor will be expected to work 7.5 hours/day within normal working hours.

Work Location

The ContractoraEUR(TM)s work will be performed on-site

Security Clearance

The proposed resource must hold a minimum of a valid Secret Security Clearance issued by PSPC-SPAC and provide both file number and expiry date at time of submission
