Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals and corporations. Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals. Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify potential tax savings. Manage audits and liaise with tax authorities as necessary. Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure accurate account reconciliation. Collaborate with financial services teams to provide comprehensive support on investment-related matters. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and others to maintain accurate financial records. Provide guidance on payroll processing and budgeting practices. Mentor junior staff members in bookkeeping and auditing practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred, in-depth tax certification as a plus. Extensive experience in tax management or public accounting with a focus on taxation. Proficient in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Knowledge of auditing processes and compliance regulations is essential. Experience in managing accounts payable functions and performing account reconciliations. Familiarity with investment taxation principles is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
