Our industry-leading solutions are transforming energy companies across the entire value chain, helping visionary leaders evolve their organizations into modern energy companies.OverviewThe Senior Tax Analyst plays a vital role in overseeing the compliance of corporate income taxes and transaction taxes in the USA and Canada and contributes to other special projects within the group.Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and clearly communicate work plan, project objectives, and timelines
• Ensure corporate income taxes, sales and use taxes, and GST taxes are accrued timely and returns are filed timely
• Prepare workpapers and data files to support all corporate income tax and transaction tax returns and other statutory filings as necessary, including interfacing with outside service providers
• Assist with global tax provision prepared in accordance with ASC 740
• Communicate with government agencies to resolve state notices and inquiries
• Support audit defense for corporate income tax & sales and use tax
• Work with our ERP system and sales tax compliance software to ensure proper taxation of sales and purchases, including performing independent multi-state research to determine appropriate taxability of products and services
• Research and monitor state income tax and sales tax nexus triggers and risk assessment of business operations
• Assist with corporate income tax compliance for multinational entities
• Perform research for a wide range of other tax topics as necessary and assist with tax planning projects
• Work collaboratively with finance team, following policies and procedures that ensure the overall operational effectiveness of the global organization
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting is required
• 4+ years of US corporate income tax and sales and use tax experience is preferred
• 1+ years of experience with GST and PST in Canada preferred
• Must be proficient in MS Excel
• Strong data management, time management and organization skills
• Analytical and research abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Work independently and as a team to meet deadlines and objectives
• An individual with a proactive attitude who is excited about working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
