As the Senior Systems Engineer at MMIST you will work across both sides of the "Systems V" however if you enjoy the design process focusing on the front end side of the "V", this is a great opportunity to work with a fantastic team!

What will you be doing?




Analyze and interpret product needs, stakeholder expectations, and Level 0 requirements. Decompose Level 1 system requirements into detailed, verifiable Level 2/Level 3 technical requirements. Review, develop and document system level operational concepts and mission statements. Develop functional and logical architectures Create system block diagrams and interface definitions Verify and validate aspects of systems designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements. Support various specialty-engineering tasks, such as Reliability, Maintainability & Availability analysis, Integrated Logistics Support, Failure Analysis and Safety Engineering tasks for complex systems. Drive causal root cause analysis and and resolution activities. Perform system/product integration. Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and testing teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and feasible. Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and risk assessments. Support early planning for verification and validation activities. Define acceptance criteria for technical requirements. Facilitate communication between stakeholders and development teams to clarify technical intent. Travel to support site testing and verification operations and sustainment activities at customer locations (mainly North America and Europe).



What do we need from you?




Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Experience in a similar systems engineering role ideally in avionics or electronic control related development or related experience. Technical writing skills with strong ability to create engineering documentation. Experience in integration and verification testing of electronic equipment including hardware/software. Working knowledge of high-order programming languages (C, /C++, Python). Experience with development and management of requirements with good knowledge of requirements management tools and configuration management tools. Experience with development of formal verification planning and procedures. Experience with flight critical fly-by-wire Flight Controls, Actuators, Air Data Systems, Pilot Inceptors, Inertial Sensors and/or Autopilot systems would be a very strong asset. Familiarity with ARP4754, DO-178 and DO-254 or equivalent similar stringent process requirements would also be helpful.
