Required Qualifications & Skills



Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

7+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and test within aerospace domains or safety-critical systems

Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, flight dynamics, and complex mechanical/electrical systems. Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM Rational DOORS, Synergy).

Job Summary



Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineer, focusing on the design, integration, and verification of systems for advanced helicopter projects. The candidate will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to ensure our systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities



Requirements Management:

Evaluate customer and operational needs to define, capture, and manage system performance requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance with aviation standards.

System Design & Analysis:

Lead the design and analysis of complex helicopter systems (e.g., flight controls, avionics, propulsion, electrical power, or landing gear) and decompose top-level requirements to sub-system and component levels.

System Integration & Testing:

Ensure seamless integration of various hardware and software components, and develop and execute test procedures for system validation and verification in lab, ground, and flight test environments.

Safety & Compliance:

Conduct safety assessments, risk analysis, and ensure all designs and modifications comply with airworthiness standards and regulations.

Technical Documentation:

Prepare clear and accurate system engineering documentation, including specifications, design descriptions, interface control documents (ICDs), test reports, and certification artifacts.

Collaboration:

Liaise with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and certification engineers, as well as external suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues and manage project milestones.

Troubleshooting:

Provide technical support for diagnosing and troubleshooting repairs and malfunctions during development, production, and field operations.

Project Support:

Report project status and issues to management, manage technical scope, planning, and budget, and support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications



Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field. Detailed knowledge of FAA or EASA certification and airworthiness requirements. Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and flight testing
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
