The Senior Supply Chain Manager leads all purchasing, inventory control, supplier performance, and logistics functions across Legend Fleet Solutions. This role is accountable for building a reliable, data-driven supply chain that supports production, ensures accurate inventory, strengthens ERP integrity, and improves supplier quality and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Supplier Management
Lead and coach the purchasing team to maintain accurate ERP data, fulfill material requirements, and meet production needs.
Manage supplier relationships, scorecards, quality/delivery performance, and escalation pathways.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and long-range agreements to optimize cost and reliability.
Support onboarding of new suppliers and materials in collaboration with Engineering and Quality.
2. Inventory Management & ERP Data Integrity
Own inventory accuracy, valuation control, and material movement integrity across all facilities.
Ensure cycle counts, adjustments, scrap transactions, and consumption reporting are complete, timely, and accurate.
Maintain planning parameters (lead times, min/max, order quantities) in ERP with discipline and cross-functional alignment.
Identify and reduce slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
3. Production Support & Material Availability
Ensure materials are available for production schedules by aligning purchasing actions with forecast and confirmed demand.
Work closely with Production to prevent shortages and support scheduling accuracy.
Ensure BOM changes and NPI launches are supported with proactive purchasing.
Communicate risks to material availability early and clearly.
4. Team Leadership & Development
Lead a team of buyers, coordinators, and inventory staff with clear expectations and KPIs.
Build trust across departments through consistent communication.
Coach team members on system discipline, vendor communication, and prioritization.
Support training, succession planning, and continuous improvement.
Logistics & Warehouse Optimization
Oversee inbound freight, customs, and warehouse logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
Optimize freight modes, carrier selection, and transportation cost efficiency.
Improve routing decisions, shipment planning, and customer delivery alignment.
6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare reports on supplier performance, inventory accuracy, shortages, and cost trends.
Lead supply chain improvement initiatives related to ERP enhancements and cost reduction.
Standardize processes (SOPs) across purchasing, inventory, and logistics.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or materials management.
Strong understanding of ERP systems, BOM structures, and inventory control.
Proven supplier negotiation and performance management skills.
Advanced Excel/data analysis capability.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
