Role Summary




The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is a strategic leadership role responsible for the full spectrum of supply chain operations, including Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, and 3rd Party Supply (co-manufacturers and external partners).


This role is accountable for building a resilient, scalable, and data-driven supply chain, enabling Rubicon's growth across multiple facilities and sales channels. The Senior Manager provides strategic oversight, executive-level reporting, and cross-functional leadership, driving performance, operational excellence, and cost efficiency across the organization


Direct reports include Supply Chain Manager, Inventory & Warehouse Manager, and 3rd Party Supply Manager, each managing their respective teams.

Key Responsibilities



Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end supply chain operations, aligning Procurement, Logistics, Inventory & Warehouse, and 3rd party supply with business objectives and growth plans. Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Design and implement supply chain strategies to optimize cost, service, and risk mitigation, ensuring scalability across multiple facilities and third-party partners. Oversee inventory and warehouse management, ensuring accurate inventory, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Drive procurement strategy and supplier management, including contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and risk management. Ensure logistics excellence, managing domestic and international transport, 3PLs, and distributor relationships to deliver OTIF results. Oversee 3rd party supply and co-manufacturer partnerships, including performance management, production planning, inventory coordination, quality alignment, and regulatory compliance. Maintain executive-level relationships with key suppliers, co-manufacturers, outsourced growers, and logistics partners to strengthen reliability, capacity, and innovation within the supply chain. Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure supply chain performance, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and R&D leadership, to align supply chain strategies with corporate objectives and new products initiatives. Drive continuous improvement, leveraging ERP systems, data analytics, and industry best practices to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

Qualifications & Experience



10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing, CPG, or regulated industries; cannabis experience strongly preferred Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with a track record of driving high-performance teams. Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred). Experience managing inventory across multiple sites, including reconciliation, audit readiness, and operational controls. Expertise in warehousing strategy, 3PL management, and transportation optimization. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and growth-oriented environment. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field; SCMP or APICS certification preferred.
