The Senior Journeyperson Supervisor will assist the Service Manager by acting as a liaison between the Journeyman, Office Staff, and Clients. The Supervisor will work with both the HVAC and Plumbing Technicians and mentor these Journeyman for performance, interpreting feedback, and training, and will be available to answer questions as needed. This position, for the right candidate, could be used as a stepping stone to the position of Service manager in the future.What's* in it for you*

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Mentor and provide support to new and existing Journeyman within Trotter & Morton Facility Services
  • Develop and maintain onboarding process for new technicians and apprentices
  • Act as a liaison between operations and technicians in identifying needs and defining roles.
  • Act as a liaison between Journeyman with regards to pertinent feedback related to performance.
  • Take a lead role in identifying and developing skills and habits necessary to succeed within the LINC model.
  • Routinely update Service Manager with regards to progress or areas of concern regarding presently employed Journeyman.
  • Be actively involved in any discipline or corrective steps that may be required for violating Trotter and Morton employment standards and codes of conduct.
  • Conduct meetings with Journeyman on a routine basis in order to allow open lines of communication between technicians and operations.
  • Addressing client concerns directly with client and follow up with resolutions.
  • Attend team planning meetings on a regular and consistent basis as scheduled.
  • Provide support and act as a liaison between the two groups of Technicians and office support team.
  • Work closely with the TMFS Safety Team to develop and review best practices
  • Lead Safety Meetings on a monthly basis
  • Work with the Service Manager on an ongoing basis in the development and defining of the Senior Supervisor Role.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures including Company's Health and Safety program
  • Understand and follow company Quality Control Program
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Experience
  • HVAC/Plumbing Journeyman Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 or more years' experience as a Journeyman in the trades
  • Previous exposure to leadership or mentoring accountabilities is preferred
  • The operation or knowledge of business would be helpful but not essential.

  • This position may require additional hours to meet the demands of the role
  • Travel may be required
