WellPass

At WellPass, we're building software and IoT products that bring safety, intelligence, and automation to complex worksites. Our platform, WellPass Site Management, combines cloud infrastructure, connected devices, and foundation model integrations to simplify operations and reduce risk.

We're an early-stage startup with evidence of market fit and a growing set of customers and users. You'll be joining a team of engineers and industry professionals that care deeply about solving real problems in the market.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior or Staff Full Stack Engineer who thrives in a startup environment. You'll work across the stack, from infrastructure and persistence layers through application logic to the frontend and also work on integrating IoT hardware and embedded systems.

You'll be hands-on, but also comfortable leading by example: mentoring new hires, guiding design decisions, and stepping in to triage production incidents when needed.

What You'll Do

Architect and develop scalable systems in Node.js (NestJS), React, and Postgres on AWS (ECS, S3, Cognito, ECR, etc.)

Leverage multimodal foundation models (OpenAI) to accelerate development and enhance product intelligence

Contribute to firmware, embedded systems, and hardware integrations for products like GateKeeper

Own deployments and pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring reliability and velocity

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents; maintain system health

Help onboard and mentor junior engineers as the team grows

Occasionally assist with escalated support requests (email/phone), keeping customer experience at the core

What We're Looking For

5+ years of professional experience as a full stack engineer (senior/staff level)

Strong foundation across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure

Experience in startups or high-growth environments where adaptability and ownership are key

Some leadership or mentoring experience (formal or informal)

Comfort working with LLMs/foundation models to accelerate development as well as integrating them into products

Proven ability to respond to incidents, debug complex systems, and implement durable fixes

High reliability and integrity, someone the team can count on

Flexibility to occasionally work outside typical hours to support global customers and time zones

Nice To Have

IoT or embedded systems experience

Exposure to hardware/firmware development

Experience with infrastructure automation and observability

Security and compliance awareness (IAM, least privilege, SOC 2, etc.)

Why Join Us

Build web applications that are easy to use, robust, and solve real problems

Work at the intersection of cloud, AI, and IoT

Learn fast, wear multiple hats, and help scale a company from the ground up

Build solutions that directly improve safety and efficiency in the field
