We invite you to be part of our evolution.Our Team:The Senior Specialist Strategy Business Planning North Atlantic (NA) supports the Manager, Business Excellence North Atlantic along with the broader Technical Services across our North Atlantic Operations.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Senior Specialist Strategy Business Planning North Atlantic (NA) to join our team in Sudbury (preferred location) or Toronto. This is a permanent, position.The position will report to the Manager, Business Excellence North Atlantic and is a key role in the development and integration of the North Atlantic Life of Business Plan, which is instrumental in establishing long-term planning as part of North Atlantic routines and decision-making. The role will support coordinating the development and implementation of tools and processes required to integrate the Life of Business Planning, enabling optimized business planning, risk mapping and allowing for capturing opportunities to add value to the operations and influence the overall North Atlantic strategy. This work is connected with the North Atlantic Master Plan, 5-year planning and yearly budgeting processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination, execution and monitoring of the North Atlantic (NA) business planning process, having as an outcome a robust, integrated Life of Business Plan (LOBP) consistent with the long-term Strategy to maximize the value of North Atlantic Business.
  • This role will support the establishment of the Business Plan submission calendar for North Atlantic and annual coordination of the plan submission.
  • Actively analyze the Life of Business Plan and its inputs to map risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions, evaluate options/scenarios and identify main business levers to create value.
  • Propose value levers to direct continuous improvement efforts, based on identified business levers.
  • Integrate and track deployment of the North Atlantic operations and support areas\xe2\x80\x99 workplans to deliver on the Life of Business Plan, ensuring alignment with strategy as well as short-term goals (e.g., AIP) , reporting out to NA leadership as required.
  • Work collaboratively with Base Metals corporate and North Atlantic operations, projects and supporting functions\xe2\x80\x99 leads to develop the integrated LOBP and support validation process with North Atlantic leaders (CEO-1 and CEO-2).
  • The position will require expertise in the North Atlantic flowsheet and in financial metrics, as well as working effectively across a variety of stakeholders to ensure integration, standardization and continuous improvement is embedded in technical services and our North Atlantic Operations
About YouEducation:
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Economy, Business, Finance or a related field
  • MBA is an asset
Experience:
  • 8-10 years of Business-related experience or Consulting experience is preferred.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, including development of concise documents and presentation materials
  • Collaboration and strong relationship building skills to manage diverse cultures and multiple levels of management
  • Understanding of Capital & Project Management Principles
  • Analytical models, prediction tools and integrated simulators
  • Capacity calculation and optimization methods
  • High level Problem Solving skills
  • Standardization and routine/performance management practices
  • Leadership and influencing skills and experience
  • Understanding of Supply Chain, Mining and Manufacturing, and Marketing and Sales processes
  • Ability to build momentum and positive energy for change
  • Preferred skills: Operations and Strategic Planning Experience; Reasonable Knowledge of Geology, Mining, and/or Metallurgy for Ni/Cu or related commodities; Finance; Commodity Markets.
  • Preferred knowledge: North Atlantic flowsheet and annual planning cycles
