What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

As a member of the CTB Digital team, you will help lead our efforts to design and build key banking solutions and capabilities. You will work closely with business teams to understand requirements and guide our technical and delivery leads to build reliable and scalable solutions that meet business needs.

While not a hands-on coding role, we are looking for candidates with relevant experience as part of a delivery team, who can get into implementation details of solutions as needed. Candidates who have broad experience but are more specialized in a specific area (eg. MarTech vs. Fintech vs. Integrations) are encouraged to apply as there are multiple positions available.

  • Lead the design of solutions supporting our core digital platforms and support team members that are building them
  • Provide leadership to teams on architectural best practices, patterns and how to apply them to solutions
  • You have experience with marketing technologies and best practices and how to apply them as part of a solution to produce enhanced business outcomes
  • You have experience designing solutions that utilize common integration patterns (Async vs. Synchronous) and when to apply them when building solutions
  • You are knowledgeable in all areas of software development and architecture, with a focus on applications and a comfort with infrastructure, data design/modelling, CI/CD, Azure\\Google Cloud, and integration patterns
  • Lead solution discussions with multiple team members and drive the discussion and outcomes
  • Create architectural artifacts, coach, mentor, and encourage team members.
  • You understand and can apply application security, organizational risk, and PCI principles to architectural solutions
  • You can dive deep to troubleshoot when needed and clearly communicate your findings and proposed solutions
  • You are excited by new technologies and look for opportunities to bring them in to the solutions
  • You are equally comfortable presenting solutions to Executives and sharing ideas with Developers
What you bring
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 7+ years I.T. experience in progressive analysis and design related positions
  • 3+ years I.T. experience working in an architect/system design role
  • Experience building and supporting banking solutions
  • Experience with modern stacks including cloud, microservices, containers, CI/CD
  • Experience interpreting and applying security best practices to create, harden and secure infrastructure and applications
  • Experience with identity management, authentication, and authorization
  • Experience with event-driven/reactive architectures and integrations
  • Experience with batch and API based system to system integrations
  • Experience using and developing RESTful services
  • Understanding of TLS/SSL, encryption, and key management principles
  • Adept at balancing the immediate needs of a project (business requirements and business strategy) with Enterprise Architecture standards and the declared IT target state to achieve a win-win situation
  • Experience working closely with both Business and IT stakeholders, and proven experience in building and managing professional relationships and consensus-building throughout all levels of an organization
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional skills in facilitating meetings, interviewing, probing, and influencing others
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations and briefings up to Senior Management / Executive levels
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and passion for your work
  • Demonstrated ability to think and communicate in both abstract and concrete concepts, and to do so appropriately for the audience
  • Working knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Agile/SCRUM project approach
  • Experience in martech and/or fintech is an asset
