We're convinced it's the greatest place on earth and to prove it, we're offering the right person the chance to experience it with us: we'll pay for the relocation fees.WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING...*As a software developer, you will bring your experience and expertise to support one or more of our scrums to build and refine our sensor integrations, real-time data processing, data fusion algorithms, and/or software integrations. You will use your Python / C(++) skills to develop, maintain, optimize, and document MIST code. You will contribute to our ongoing efforts to build high-functioning DevSecOps and MLOps pipelines, building and enhancing the tools and systems we use to make deployable AI software.The MIST project is our core project developed through the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program and is key to our success.QUALIFICATIONS*Minimum 5 years of industry experience with software development using Java, C# or C++Knowledge with Dev Ops and Deployment pipelineExperience with providing code reviews and guidance to less experienced software developersExperience developing & maintaining deployable codeStrong knowledge of design patternsExperience with relational and NoSQLFamiliarity with version control (Git) and Agile developmentA passion for coding and an interest in machine learningExperience working with small teamsFor soft skills we would like to find someone who is adaptable, creative, multidisciplinary, self-directedCanadian Citizen / Permanent Resident for at least 10 yearsSecurity clearance check (Criminal Record and Credit Check)Bonus: Experience with technical writingBonus: Networking and cybersecurityCOMPENSATION$125,000-$135,000"Okanagan Relocation Top Up" - We aren't blind to the fact that we're asking you to relocate, on top of the fact that while the world has removed to remote, we do require you to come into the office periodically (don't worry we have never been in the office full-time, even pre-Covid). Of course that comes with a relocation package, but we also want you to be able to enjoy the perks that the Okanagan has to offer (extensive wineries, world-renown ski hills, and sandy beaches anyone?) without breaking the bank.
