The Sponsored Products Bid Recommendation team is responsible for public APIs that help advertisers create performant campaigns. We have multiple models that calculate bid recommendations for every advertising campaign. Our APIs are among the top called amazon advertising endpoints. We operate at the intersection of science and engineering.

As a Sr SDE in the team, you will be responsible for developing the machine learning infrastructure to ensure strong performance on Sponsored Products campaigns. Furthermore, a Sr SDE needs to design and implement systems to support multiple online experiments for bid suggestions and improve the velocity of experimentation.

This role needs to continue raising the bar in operational excellence, including pro-actively identifying and delivering improvements and dealing with live site issues effectively with clarity in communication. A Sr SDE will continue to identify and deliver improvements in operational excellence processes and tooling.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalent
