You will be part of a growing development team involved in all stages of product development--from planning and design all the way to testing and deployment. Particulars:

Full-time Must work from Toronto office located at Yonge & Eglinton 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test and maintain backend services, APIs and Spring Boot applications using Java Create dynamic front-end applications primarily in React, TypeScript, and Redux Provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and lead code reviews to maintain best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, maintainable systems Ensure robust, tested code and participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes Write and maintain technical documentation for projects and processes

Skills:

Experience with object-oriented development using Java (preferred), C# or similar languages Proficiency with React and JavaScript (TypeScript preferred) Experience with modern JavaScript toolchains, testing libraries, and best practices Knowledge of best practices and performance optimization Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles Proven experience leading projects, reviewing code, and mentoring other engineers Able to seamlessly switch between projects and tasks Self-motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment

Good to Have:

Familiarity with common SQL databases Experience with Docker or Kubernetes Exposure to AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms

Experience:

5+ years of professional development experience (or equivalent) Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)
