On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior Software Developer (Azure/AWS, DevOps) to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Work from Home (WFH) with occasional onsite presence required in Burnaby, BC.
Summary of the Role
The Senior Software Developer will support a digital health initiative by building new solutions, extending existing systems, and maintaining operational cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on full-stack development and DevOps within Azure and AWS environments to improve service delivery in a complex, multi-organizational context.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack software solutions aligned with digital health strategies.
Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
Support Agile/DevOps delivery frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure automation, security, and monitoring across cloud deployments.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to drive solution innovation and system improvements.
Core Requirements
Minimum 5 years of full-stack software development experience.
Proven experience with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
Background in DevOps engineering within Agile frameworks.
Experience supporting complex, multi-organizational IT environments.
Proficiency with cloud automation, security, and monitoring tools.
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of cloud-native application design.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and workflows.
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with digital health or public sector environments.
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
Terms
This is an 11-month contract position. The role is primarily Work from Home, with occasional onsite presence required in Burnaby, BC. Candidates are expected to use their own hardware for the duration of the contract. There are no additional background or reference checks required before an offer is made.
