The Role

As a Senior Frontend Software Developer, you will be a key member of our Driver team, and will be at the forefront of innovation, directly shaping the development of our market-leading solutions.

Driver is a cloud-based geoscience automodeling application that leverages advanced machine learning techniques to help users quickly derive insights from their geoscience drilling data.

In this role, the Senior Software Developer will work closely with our product designers, domain experts, and back-end developers to design and implement intuitive, performant, and visually compelling interfaces in React that bring our solutions directly to our customers. A core part of their work will involve integrating and extending our 3D visualization library to present complex geoscience data in an interactive, responsive, and scalable way, ensuring that even large datasets can be explored smoothly and efficiently in the browser.

The Senior Software Developer thrives on delivering exceptional user experiences, who can pair strong technical front-end skills with an eye for detail and usability. They should be equally comfortable architecting maintainable, modern JavaScript/TypeScript codebases, optimizing rendering performance, and collaborating with designers to translate concepts into production-ready features.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Develop intuitive, high-performance UIs using React and TypeScript. Integrate and extend 3D data visualization for large geoscience datasets. Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to deliver user-focused features. Architect scalable, maintainable frontend codebases. Optimize rendering performance and user experience. Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices. Plan and manage frontend release cycles, ensuring quality and compliance. Contribute to software design decisions and technical strategy. Lead small projects and support cross-functional collaboration.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent. 7+ years working in relevant Software Development roles, primarily focused on front end web development. Experience writing and maintaining products running in production. Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps practices. Proficiency with Javascript/Typescript. Experience with React. The experience with the following is not required but is an asset: Experience with Flask or FastAPI. Experience building front end applications. Exposure to Three.js or 3D rendering on the web.

Additional Information

Work from the local office 2 or more days a week.
