The current project underway is based in Chilliwack, BC and consists of two six-story buildings and an amenity facility, constructed with light-gauge cold-form-steel panels.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an experienced Site Superintendent, you will oversee all phases of construction from planning through to completion, ensuring the site operates efficiently and safely on a daily basis. You will lead site activities with a strong focus on delivering projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards for cost control, safety, quality, and overall project management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan, schedule, direct, and control the construction of the project from start to finish according to plans and schedule to ensure timelines, specifications and budget are met.
Lead and guide the team; supervise employees and sub-contractors, schedule daily/weekly site meetings as required, coach and train staff as required.
Responsible for projects being built according to approved plans, specifications and design drawings while ensuring that high quality standards are maintained.
Strategically plan and implement project work plan and manpower levels; schedule manpower to ensure safety, quality, cost and project milestones are met.
Coordinate with sub trades, consultants, engineers and clients, maintaining positive work relationships, and ensuring subcontractors comply with project master schedule.
Take necessary precautions and follow up to ensure sub trades are prepared for the work scheduled, focus on accelerating the contraction schedule with the Director of Construction.
Schedule inspections with municipality to meet building code requirements and with suppliers/installers.
Proactively manage the site, anticipating potential issues before they arises, resolving problems on the spot, in a timely and effective manner.
Lead by example and demonstrate leadership in health and safety on the project. Oversee the site safety program, which includes crane safety. Perform regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings. Maintain all appropriate field documentation. Apply applicable OH&S requirements and other regulations and codes to promote overall compliance with all employees and subcontractors.
Prepare daily site report - tracking progress, site events, inspections and other relevant information - and issue project schedules to subcontractors.
Monitor all site instructions and change notices as required.

Pay: $160,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
