Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Senior Service Technician

with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing on-site service, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities, while ensuring full compliance with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Safety

Conduct on-site service and instrumentation start-up activities with strict adherence to safety protocols. Ensure all tools, PPE, and calibrated instruments are in proper working condition prior to site visits. Submit daily service reports and communicate job status to the service coordinator by the end of day. Proactively engage in regular meetings with supervisors to address on-site challenges and share lessons learned. Collaborate with the sales team to identify new MRO opportunities and provide technical input. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site contacts, issues, and technical documentation.

Calibration & Technical Services

Perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of various industrial instruments, including flow meters, gas detectors, and analytical devices in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Diagnose and resolve technical faults using diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, signal generators, and other precision instruments. Lead startup and commissioning of instrumentation on plant equipment, ensuring proper installation and documentation. Prepare and maintain comprehensive calibration and service reports in accordance with internal quality standards. Provide technical recommendations to clients regarding system upgrades, obsolete components, and equipment replacement. Develop and update standard operating procedures using manuals, P&ID drawings, and wiring schematics.

Documentation & Project Management

Ensure all project and service activities are accurately recorded in Zoho Projects prior to site deployment. Maintain up-to-date timesheets and expense reports, submitting them weekly for supervisor approval. Collaborate with the Service Coordinator and Inside Sales to ensure timely completion and closure of MRO deals. Upload receipts and relevant documentation to Zoho Expense and CRM platforms for record-keeping and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in instrumentation, calibration, and field service roles. Strong technical expertise in process instrumentation and industrial measurement systems. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and interpretation of technical drawings and manuals. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues effectively, and deliver solutions under pressure. Experience with Zoho (or similar CRM/ERP systems) is considered an asset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site work as required.
