The Senior Scientist, Health Economist provides qualified expertise in their specialty area and advanced scientific input and expertise to public health initiatives at the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). This role is responsible for the design, conduct, and completion of health economics and health services research to support the expansion of vaccine programs and evidence-informed decision making. This role will provide leadership and direction, and work collaboratively with the medical director and the immunization team to establish and maintain immunization programs. The Senior Scientist, Health Economist will also lead ICER based analyses and conduct cost-benefit analyses. Leads and contributes to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of medical/scientific processes, procedures and measures that align with BCCDC\xe2\x80\x99s overall objectives and provincial mandate while ensuring the requirements of key internal and external stakeholders are met. The Senior Scientist works to develop research grants to attract external funding and works with other senior scientists to establish new initiatives.
