Senior Sales Manager

, you will play a key role in driving group and conference business while fostering long-term client relationships that reflect the quality and prestige of our award-winning hotel.

This position requires a motivated and strategic sales professional with a proven ability to generate revenue, identify new opportunities, and represent the hotel with professionalism and authenticity. The ideal candidate is both a leader and a collaborator--someone who inspires excellence, cultivates partnerships, and embodies the spirit of gracious hospitality that defines the Hotel Grand Pacific.

This is a Monday to Friday position, hours of work are 8:30am-5pm.

The salary range per year for this position is between $60 - $70K, commensurate with experience., and is eligible for bonus structure.

Responsibilities



Sales:



Plan and execute all sales activities as outlined in the annual business plan. Cultivate new business opportunities through prospecting, client visits, and relationship management. Maintain accurate tracking of sales activities and client data in Opera PMS. Provide authentic client stewardship, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. Conduct professional site inspections for potential clients and partners. Maintain expert knowledge of hotel products, services, and amenities to promote the property effectively. Stay informed of competitor offerings to ensure the hotel remains market-competitive. Represent the hotel at trade shows, conferences, and industry events in Victoria, across Canada, and internationally. Travel as required to meet business objectives.

Administration:



Prepare detailed proposals and contracts that align with company standards and revenue goals. Collaborate with operational departments to ensure seamless delivery of client commitments. Coordinate client events and site visits in partnership with Food & Beverage and other teams. Maintain up-to-date booking information and accurate reporting in Opera PMS. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning and team alignment. Manage travel, expenses, and administrative duties in accordance with company policies. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization's Code of Ethics at all times.

Leadership:



Support, mentor, and monitor sales managers through training, performance feedback, and ongoing guidance. Assist in the planning and execution of the hotel's annual sales event schedule. Serve as a role model of professionalism and efficiency, motivating the sales team to achieve performance excellence.

Qualifications



Minimum 3-5 years of progressive hotel sales experience, ideally within a luxury or full-service property. Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop lasting client relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera PMS applications. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strength in negotiation and presentation. Strategic thinker with a detail-oriented and results-driven approach. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a collaborative and positive mindset. Comprehensive knowledge of Victoria's hospitality market and competitive hotel landscape. Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
