Position: Senior Sales & Buyer Specialist
Sales Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with retail, foodservice, institutional, and government clients.
Prospect and secure new accounts to expand our client base across Manitoba.
Lead strategic sales initiatives and participate in complex negotiations.
Provide ongoing support to clients with a solution-oriented approach.
Monitor industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and territory analyses.
Represent Fluey Trading with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Buyer Responsibilities
Source and procure high-quality produce from local and international suppliers.
Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers.
Monitor market trends, seasonal availability, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Track purchase orders, manage supplier records, and ensure timely delivery.
Evaluate new products and suppliers to expand Fluey Trading's offerings.
Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier evaluations.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3-5 years' experience
in sales and/or procurement in the food distribution industry (not entry-level).
Proven ability to
exceed sales targets
and manage supplier relationships.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Knowledge of food sourcing, quality control, and inventory management.
Excellent command of English (speaking, reading, listening, and writing).
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/ERP systems.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented with strong organizational skills.
