About The Role
The Senior Sales Account Executive is a strategic growth driver responsible for leading the full-cycle acquisition of new Shopify and Shopify Plus clients. Collaborating cross-functionally with solution architects, project leads, and leadership, the Senior AE brings a consultative and goal-oriented approach to uncovering client needs and closing high-value engagements. The ideal candidate combines deep Shopify knowledge, enterprise sales expertise, and exceptional relationship-building skills to guide prospects from first contact through to signed partnership. This role is vital to our expansion and reputation in the Shopify ecosystem, requiring both strategic insight and hands-on sales execution.
What You'll Do
Leads the end-to-end sales process from prospecting and qualification through closing high-value Shopify projects.
Develops and executes strategic outreach to eCommerce brands, targeting Shopify Plus opportunities.
Conducts in-depth discovery calls and presentations tailored to merchant goals, challenges, and technical needs.
Builds and manages a robust pipeline of enterprise and mid-market leads using CRM and reporting tools.
Prepares and presents customized proposals, pricing, and project scopes in collaboration with Solutions Engineers.
Negotiates contract terms and manages stakeholder expectations throughout the sales process.
Coordinates internally with delivery and leadership teams to align sales with capacity and services.
Attends key industry events and Shopify partner gatherings to network and generate leads.
Tracks sales performance metrics (quota attainment, average deal size, pipeline value) and reports to leadership.
Guides junior sales staff or BDRs by mentoring on sales strategy, CRM usage, and messaging.
Identifies new market segments or service opportunities based on client conversations and industry trends.
Represents the agency as a trusted advisor in conversations with executives, marketers, and technical stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account executive roles with quota responsibility.
Proven track record of closing complex B2B deals in the Shopify or eCommerce space.
Proven track record of closing deals with large and enterprise-level companies.
Deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including Shopify Plus, app integrations, and merchant challenges.
Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and manage full-cycle sales processes.
Strong negotiation, storytelling, and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales performance reporting.
Experience working in or with digital agencies focused on web development, UX, or performance marketing.
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, delivery, and engineering.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and key sales engagements as needed.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote-first agency environment.
Bilingual French & English proficiency is a plus for international deal development.
Experience mentoring or managing junior sales team members is a strong asset.
