Role Description:

Bantrel is searching for a motivated and skilled individual 20+ years\' relevant industry experience to fill a Mechanical Engineering position to support the Bantrel team.

In this full time permanent role, you will be a champion of

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare mechanical engineering deliverables datasheets, specifications, material requisitions.
  • Make rotating equipment recommendations and selections
  • Lead design development with other engineering disciplines
  • Lead design reviews with Suppliers and Clients
  • Familiar with all engineering department procedures and their application to projects.
  • Knowledge of design standards and guides applicable to the discipline for the respective clients; and
  • Participate in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • A recognized mechanical or materials engineering degree from an accredited university and registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant EPC Mechanical Engineering experience in the Energy sector, 5 years in a Subject Matter Expert role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, reliability or plant operation considered an asset
  • Experience with Rotating Equipment including pumps, compressors, steam and gas turbines
  • Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards such as ASME, API, Hydraulic Institute etc.;
  • Willing and able to occasionally travel to operating plants or manufacturer\'s shops for field reviews, acceptance testing, etc.; and
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
