Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Retail Operations Advisor, Lumber, on a permanent basis on our Home and Building Solutions (HABS) team.


This position is a remote opportunity and is based Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Although you will not be required to come into the office on a regular basis, the job will require you to travel to local Co-ops in northern Saskatchewan on a weekly basis.

What you'll do:

Achieve LBM sales targets and improve profitability across assigned Local Co-ops by developing and executing strategic sales and business plans in collaboration with Co-op leadership. Mentor Local Co-op leaders on implementing sales initiatives, improving operational performance, and executing coordinated events like Zone training and HABS Buy Mart. Provide guidance on Co-op renovations, expansions, and new store projects, including yard setup, contractor center design, product placement, and marketing strategies. Review and optimize yard and contractor center setups to enhance customer experience and increase market share, including performance tracking and reporting. Support succession planning by identifying future leaders, coordinating training programs with HR, and acting as a liaison between Local Co-ops and the Home Office.

You will work closely with Local Co-op Management to encourage full support and execution of FCL strategic initiatives and programs. You will also work with fellow Zone HABS OAs and Zone Operations leadership to support and help implement overall location HABS operational, sales and profitability objectives. You will report into the Lumber Sales Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, expertise, and results.

Have 6-9 years of progressively responsible experience in retail management with direct exposure to lumber and building materials industry. Have a bachelor's degree in business administration, Commerce, or Marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
