What you can expect from this position:





Reporting to the Manager, Terminal 1/3 Operations, this position is responsible for administering the Terminal Activity Program as well as negotiating and facilitating the implementation of various Terminal construction projects and programs. This position is also the single point of contact for Terminal Operations in order to coordinate, review and respond to Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) applications, Terminal Work Permits (TWP), shutdown requests, event requests and filming requests.


As a Senior Representative, Terminal Activity Coordination, you will:



Develop and manage a robust construction, event and activity coordination program in order to interpret, negotiate and mitigate operational impact through facilitation, coordination and negotiation Analyze the impact of proposed construction, shutdowns, events, filming and activities on the operation and initiate and support the development of contingency plans to mitigate any disruptions, including delaying or stopping work where dictated by operational necessity Liaise with RMU, MO's, Parking Contractor, Ground Transportation Management, Construction compliance and other GTAA departments with regards to shutdowns, road closures or requirement for a Construction Permit Act as a single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the Terminal Operations review and response to construction activity and event plans and filming requests Conduct random inspections and audits of construction work, shutdowns, events and activities to ensure compliance Lead and administer Terminal Work Permit (TWP), Terminal Event Permit (TEP), Activity Permit, Film Permit and Greeters Booth Permit , Survey Permit, Toronto Pearson Known Vendor Permit and Material Movements process including liaising and communicating with the logistics provider to ensure alignment and consistency to continuously improve the process Coordinate Terminal Operations requirements into Facility's Tenant Requirements process including understanding the operational requirements and flows within a particular area, potential for impact and required mitigation strategies to not overly impact the flow of passengers, baggage, information or aircraft in a negative manner Coordinate planned maintenance work schedule and shutdown requests with other events and activities Develop, maintain and operate communications system and programs for ensuring all members of Terminal Operations have the necessary information regarding construction, events and activities to conduct their required duties Administer the greeter booth rental program Develop and maintain a computerized calendar and map system that would enable all members of Terminal Operations to access and be aware of any activities, events or construction occurring in any of the terminals

This unionized position is classified at the Band 7 level, with an hourly wage range of $44.63, based on a 37.5 hour work week. As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete a test.


This is the role for you, if you have::




Post?secondary diploma or degree with a focus on Aviation Management and/or Business Management and /or equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in Airport/Airline/Ground Handler Operations or similar experience in scale and complexity Minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management with numerous partners and airport operators Contract management experience is an asset Able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance

Ability to quickly understand, assess, assimilate, prioritize and coordinate multiple inputs and outputs Ability to analyze operational situations and make accurate decisions Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint Excellent prioritization skills, problem solving skills, multi?tasking skills, oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation and report writing skills Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with other GTAA departments, agencies, tenants, airlines, passengers and contractors Detail oriented and perform work with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work cohesively with other GTAA departments, CTS management and external stakeholders and contractors Knowledge of the terminals, terminal layouts, flows, terminal operations & the relationship between the various departments, flows, agencies, airlines, and other airport stakeholders Ability to travel throughout the terminals and other airport locations to monitor performances, complete inspections and collect data Knowledge of the FAP, TWP, Material Movements, Terminal Requirements and their respective processes Ability to interpret requests for activity, drawings and other documentation and adapt the request to the operational environment to determine the scope of the impact to the terminal flows of passengers, baggage and impact to air carriers, government agencies and other internal and external stakeholders Knowledgeable about insurance, emergency management, fire prevention, groundside and security legislation compliance requirements Knowledge of legal and binding contracts, invoicing systems, shutdown requirements, appropriate terms and conditions to be stipulated in approving permits and project management techniques and practices Knowledge of the Toronto Pearson airport roadways, parking structures and curbs
