Position Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, National Service Operations Radio, we are seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to work to develop strategies and documentation for the long-term operations of our public safety radio networks, primarily focusing on network lifecycle, release, performance, and change management activities.

The candidate will have the following accountabilities/responsibilities:

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Effectively engage, collaborate and influence cross-functional teams to transform our public safety radio networks on a national basis to standard operational practices across all customer contracts;
  • Liaise with internal Bell teams including, but not limited to Radio Engineering, Service Operations, Supply Chain and Sales, as well as directly with customers to ensure overall operational readiness and continued service assurance to all programs, particularly lifecycle, release and performance management;
  • Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with all vendors and partners, both external and internal;
  • Develop internal business processes and partnerships to maintain all established documentation to outline the long-term strategic direction of our public safety radio networks, nationally;
  • Evaluate existing and potential network assets and their on-going development needs, identifying End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS), primarily focusing on Bell\xe2\x80\x99s ability to maintain vendor support and the optimum releases for the assets within our networks;
  • Collaboratively develop, deliver and report upon overall network plans; and
  • Ensure that corporate requirements, standards, and best practices are followed to deliver each program to customers in a timely manner.
  • Developing and maintaining our National public safety network change management strategy for Bell\xe2\x80\x99s public safety radio networks. Ensuring minimal impacts to customers and the networks we support.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Authentic, professional and confident communicator able to influence internal project teams and customer stakeholders through effective communication and presentation skills;
  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in network operations and/or engineering with excellent project management and technical documentation skills;
  • Experience in network deployment, and operations, particularly new equipment introduction and/or release deployment would be considered a key asset;
  • Experience with ITIL best practices \xe2\x80\x93 Foundations education an asset.
  • Experience with P25 networks
  • Be highly self-motivated with a proactive and creative approach to problem solving
  • Proven excellence in communications and documentation;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects through effective prioritization while meeting timelines;
  • Strong analytical skills in order to be able to interpret data and generate insights and actions;
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or Marketing is an asset;
  • High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint);
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Self-sufficient and strong ability to drive and adapt to changes; and
  • Ability to motivate others and promote team spirit and employee value

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
