We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
Senior Real Estate Manager
to drive OPA!'s national real estate national expansion and strengthen our footprint across Canada. This role requires a seasoned real estate professional with exceptional negotiation skills, strong industry connections, and a proven track record in the Canadian commercial retail and franchise market.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, negotiate, and secure new restaurant sites across Canada, with a strong focus on Ontario and Atlantic provinces.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, and brokers to enhance OPA!'s market presence.
Lead lease negotiations and renewals for new and existing locations.
Partner with Franchisees throughout the site selection, leasing, and store opening process.
Support the Director of Franchise Development & Leasing on strategic initiatives, compliance, and franchise opportunities.
Provide market insights, progress reports, and tracking to ensure yearly growth objectives are met.
Manage approvals and contractual agreements for new store openings, transfers, and lease renewals.
Coordinate with internal teams to support successful openings and ongoing development results.
Contribute to franchising initiatives and efforts as required.
Travel within Canada.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of proven experience in commercial retail real estate, preferably within franchise restaurant systems.
Strong knowledge of the franchising industry and Canadian retail markets.
Bachelor's degree or higher in business, real estate, or a related field (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to leverage social media and networks for brand awareness and business development.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
