Senior Quality Assurance Technician



As our

Senior Quality Assurance Technician

, you will work closely with the Quality Supervisor, experience challenges and rewards and have an opportunity to shape and influence our environment.

Under the guidance of our Quality Supervisor, our Senior Quality Assurance Technician is responsible to execute the QMS system and provide guidance to the Quality Assurance Technicians. Operating in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 assisting lead hands and supervisors to prioritize workload, problem solve and give disposition on products. Working closely with the quality team you will ensure target and deadlines are met complying with OH&S legislation as well as J/E Bearing and Machine's policies. As a result, your work has a direct impact towards fulfilling business goals.

We are seeking a person with the following skill set and competencies:



Grade 12 (OSSD) or equivalent education.

Related trades certifications, courses or diploma from a recognized post-secondary school is a significant asset.

Minimum 5 years experience in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 5 years experience in product testing or inspection.

Demonstrate knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.

Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint and specification interpretation.

Possess computer skills and competency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

Competency using Solidworks, Global Shop, Unipoint would be considered an asset.

Software experience with PCDMIS 2022 and Polyworks 2021.

Previous experience in defense manufacturing would be considered an asset.

Strong decision making ability and collaboration skills.

Proficient using measuring instruments and an understanding of Measuring Systems Analysis (MSA).

Have a working understanding of Health and Safety best practices and OH&S Legislation.

Must provide a clean criminal record check upon hire.

Your skills and competencies will help you:



Provide technical support for machined and assembled products.

Assist with prioritizing the quality schedule by coordinating with the Production Manager and Supervisors/Lead Hands.

Review of specifications, quality assurance agreements and customer-specific system requirements and ensure implementation.

Ensure all parts and certifications meet and assist with creating FAI's and FPI's as the customer requires.

Assist in maintaining the existing quality policy, procedures and processes.

Solve quality issues including supplier, internal and customer by performing Non-Conformance and Corrective Action investigations; assisting in preventative measures.

Ensure necessary quality-related tools and procedures are available, controlled, used correctly and efficiently.

Identify cost saving areas and reduce costs, improve quality and reduce delivery times.

Assist in conducting inspections and testing finished products, raw material, etc.

Ensure orderliness, cleanliness and efficiency of the Quality Department.

Treat all J/E information and customer information in a confidential manner.

Know and demonstrate safe working procedures in shop environment.
