Senior Purchaser

to keep materials flowing, suppliers aligned, and production moving.

What You'll Do

Own purchasing

for multiple product lines (metal fab, electrical, mechanical) Drive

on-time delivery

: place POs, track ETAs, manage expediting and shortages

Negotiate

pricing, lead times, and terms to improve total cost and reliability Partner with

Production Planning

to align build schedules and material availability Work with

Engineering

to source alternates, support ECOs, and NPD launches Improve

ERP/MRP data integrity

(lead times, MOQ, safety stock, PO accuracy) Monitor

supplier performance

(OTIF, quality, responsiveness) and initiate corrective action Support

inventory health

(DIO, slow-moving/at-risk items, dock-to-stock speed)
Impact You'll Have (First 90 Days)

Stabilize top-25 components impacting schedule; cut expedites and firefighting Clean up key

lead-time/master data

to improve MRP signals Implement a simple

shortage war-room cadence

with owners, ETAs, and risk flags
What You Bring

5+ years

as a Buyer/Purchaser in

manufacturing

or industrial equipment or construction Hands-on with

MRP/ERP

(Epicor, SAP, or similar) and PO/part master data Confident

negotiator

with vendors (price, terms, lead times) Strong follow-through, organized, and calm under pressure Asset: experience with

metal fabrication
