We are looking for an experienced Senior Public Accountant, CPA, to join our client's team on a 6-mon contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong full-cycle accounting expertise and excellent communication skills to support various financial reporting and operational functions. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial processes and compliance with auditing standards.
Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle accounting tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and strong focus on month-end close processes.

• Manage accounts receivable activities such as billing and invoicing for customers.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Support year-end audit processes and collaborate with auditors.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data efficiently.

• Work with Oracle PeopleSoft to manage accounting operations and maintain system accuracy.

• Ensure adherence to established accounting standards and practices.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to address financial inquiries.

• Collaborate in a hybrid work environment, with on-site responsibilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• CPA designation or equivalent is required.

• Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience with focus of month-end close.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced data manipulation and analysis.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, billing, and accrual accounting processes.

• Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft or similar accounting software systems.

• Familiarity with month-end and year-end close procedures.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
