About Our Client:
Our client is seeking a professional Senior Property Accountant with at least 3 years of background working in accounting. The ideal candidate would have experience in the real estate industry and/ or managing funds.
Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle property accounting for assigned portfolio and corporate operations
• Support in full monthly and quarterly financial and management reporting
• Support and review the general ledger for properties and entities
• Manage month-end accounting cycle entries and sub-ledgers
• Submit monthly entries - mortgages, pre-payments, property taxes, accruals of expenses, etc.
• Submit asset acquisition entries, mortgage, and refinance journal entries
• Manage Accounts Receivables- processing tenant payments and intercompany invoices
• Support Accounts Payable with property related payables
• Participate in the implementation of effective accounting strategies
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and collaborate with Account Manager
• Review and organize HST returns in reference to CRA in a timely manner

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, real estate and/or relative industry
• 3 years background working in accounting. The ideal candidate would have experience in the real estate industry and/ or managing funds
• Certified with Accounting Designation (CPA-CA, CGA, CMA) or nearing completion of CPA program
• Detail-oriented, professional, and organized
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
