JLL is seeking a Senior Property Accountant who will be responsible for monthly accounting activities and capital budget tracking for the properties assigned to you. You will also help establish budgets and forecasts and oversee year-end audit preparations. Hybrid work mode.



WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Prepare monthly and year-end reconciliations



Issue common area certificates and annual financial statements



Help prepare operating budgets and forecasts and develop the capital budget



Analyze monthly budget variances



Prepare monthly accruals and adjustment entries



Track capital budgets and monitor projects



Calculate depreciation costs on a monthly basis



Prepare documents for the year-end audit by an external auditor



Take part in the review of financial controls



Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for partners, as required



Liaise with various stakeholders (joint owners, operations team, treasury, property services, property financial administration, etc.)



Prepare GST/QST-related filing documents



Recommend improvements to assigned processes and analysis



Participate on special projects and process harmonization initiatives



Serve as the contact person for the assigned property management team



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or equivalent



Three to five years of experience in general accounting; experience in real estate accounting an asset



Professional designation (CPA) obtained or in progress



Working knowledge of English and Bilingual French an asset



Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel); knowledge of Yardi an asset



Strong communication and interpersonal skills



Ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to analyze, interpret and organize information
