Pinchin is hiring for a Senior Project Manager to join the Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation and Land Development Team in the Ottawa, Kingston, or Sudbury office. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in staff development including training, coordination and quality control for junior and intermediate staff in the Group. They will also be the principal contact for specific clients and prepare proposals for clients.
What you will be doing at Pinchin
Schedule audits, assessments, and meetings with clients/contractors
Assign work to junior staff as appropriate depending on workloads and in conjunction with the Director
Develop work for new clients or new projects with existing clients
Meet with clients to determine clients' requirements
Perform direct marketing to clients
Prepare proposals for clients (including cost estimates) for review by the Director or other Senior Reviewers as may be delegated
Prepare invoicing on a timely basis in line with company requirements and to the satisfaction of the client
Complete projects to pre-established budgets with a positive variance of at least 8%
Process subcontractor invoices, review of employee charges on projects, modification of pre-bills and approval of bills in a timely manner
Make suggestions to the Director to continually improve work quality
Preform all other tasks as assigned by the Director or EVP
What you bring to the Pinchin team
A Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Engineering or a suitable alternative from an accredited University.
Professional Designation (P.Geo. or P.Eng. and QP) is required.
Minimum of 10 years of consulting, project management or industry experience working in a similar capacity.
Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management
Experience with business development initiatives and client interaction
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) required
Valid driver's license and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
Strong communication skills & professional presentation
Strong writing skills
High level of attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of Ontario Regulations 153 and 406
