We embrace diversity and strive to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment.We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager based at our Windsor, Nova Scotia location who will serve as the primary communication conduit between BIOVECTRA and itsxe2x80x99 clients. This individual acts as the internal advocate for all client projects, provides communication to internal team members and external clients, to ensure project milestones are met and strategic objectives are aligned. The Senior Project Manager will ensure a standard of excellence in project management and client relationships with BIOVECTRAxe2x80x99s key programs and/or key projects portfolio.The Senior Project Manager will work independently to manage all aspects of the program, reports to the Director of Project Management. Please note, this is an onsite role and must be routinely present at the Windsor, Nova Scotia location.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, internal/external relationship management, communications, resources, budget, change, and risks.
  • Provides leadership to core project team(s) by building and motivating cross-functional team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Utilizes a strategic level of technical and operational program knowledge to engage operational leadership and provide proactive clarity to all contributors during all key project inflection points to drive the best potential outcome (e.g., initial onboarding, life cycle progression xe2x80x93 clinical delivery, process validation and commercial preparations).
  • Participates as a member of the contract acquisition team during late-stage discussions to finalize contracts. Will assist the team in identifying barriers to meeting timelines, budgets or achieving service/product quality and providing potential solutions.
  • Adhers to BIOVECTRAxe2x80x99s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities
KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 8+ years of project management, or similar experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries, or client facing product management experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven ability to provide a strategic level of technical and operational program knowledge to engage operational leadership and provide proactive clarity to all contributors during all key project inflection points to drive the best potential outcome (e.g., initial onboarding, life cycle progression xe2x80x93 clinical delivery, process validation and commercial preparations).
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators on project management principles and best practices.
  • Experience reviewing statements of work and determining if timelines and deliverables are attainable and aligned with the stated timelines and budgets.
  • Proficient in the utilization of internal project management tracking and reporting tools to convey current projects status, visible to all team members. Ability to manage and report all project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Conducts regular project reviews, as well as retrospective analysis following completion of a project, to ensure opportunities for improvement in future project management process are identified, documented, and implemented.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of the PMO Playbook, including best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, demonstrated by high client satisfaction levels.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Project, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Travel as required.

EDUCATION:
  • Post-Secondary Education with an Undergraduate degree. B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • M.Sc. would be considered an asset.
  • PMP designation would be considered an asset.
