The Enterprise Analytics Platform team designs, implements and oversees the GCP analytics platform at TELUS. Known as the DataHub, our team architects and operationalizes the underlying infrastructure used to power data solutions that drive value and deliver results from analytics. Our platforms provide the organization with modern cloud native services, modern BI tools, DataOps methodologies and processes, and a self-serve data environment to test & learn and productionalize data models enabling data driven decisions. Our vision is to empower our TELUS business partners with a standardized platform utilizing infrastructure, policy and governance as code, setting guide rails for teams to develop their data & analytics use cases within our cloud data platform and BI toolsets.

We are looking for enthusiasts who can help build our next generation solutions enabling best-in-class data platforms with a focus on expanding our capabilities while ensuring always available analytics in Google\'s Cloud Platform. As the Sr. Project Manager, Reporting to the Director - Enterprise Analytics Platforms, you will lead and deliver data driven technology projects in collaboration with the Enterprise Analytics Platforms team. You will support digital transformation at TELUS by partnering with teams across the organization to make better use of their data. Use your strong communication, critical thinking and change management experience to assess the impact of transformation on our partner teams, the upstream and downstream systems and help clarify and define cloud-related business processes and best practices across TELUS.

What you\'ll do

• Implement key strategic initiatives that provide a consolidated view including updates, delivery plans, compiling financial forecasts, tracking actuals, managing purchases, tracking material
• Work closely with technical teams on the end to end delivery of platform upgrades, migrations and decommissions
• Managing the overall portfolio budget (CAPEX & OPEX) by monitoring expenditures to ensure costs stay within the approved budgeted amount
• Gathering and analyzing financial data to identify areas for improvement and to keep projects on budget and on time
• Manage infrastructure deployment and software development projects.
• Partner with internal and external teams to deliver on strategic initiatives.
• Balance day to day workload with the demands of a fast-paced Agile delivery team
• Facilitate and maintain relationships between organization and vendors/partners
• Work with capital management, procurement and strategy teams to ensure our TELUS capital is managed effectively across the teams entire portfolio
• Contribute to the establishment of a common set of practices, tools and templates for portfolio, program, and project-level management and ensure standards are being followed

Qualifications

What you bring

• 3-5 years of technical project management experience delivering IT Projects on Time, on Budget and with Quality
• You have a proven track record of managing project schedules, partners & vendors identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders
• Project Management experience in software automation, cloud migrations, hardware deployments & data analytics
• Experience managing CAPEX / OPEX and effectively managing project spend
• Familiarity with Scrum, SAFe agile frameworks to manage product delivery
• Experience working with product owners to identify skill-sets and ensure backlog completeness including estimates
• Experience with transformative data projects, product evolution and executing on strategic roadmap deliverables
• Experience with user migration work and change management
• Ability to foster collaborative working relationships with internal and external teams through leadership, embracing diversity and introducing new ideas
• Innovative and out of the box thinking - you are curious and never stop learning
• Ability to manage key deliverables, project status reporting, excellent communication and presentation skills as part of an extended project team and committed to working with engineers, developers, architects and product managers
• Flexible in managing ambiguity, uncertainty and changing priorities
• Skilled in using JIRA, Google Suite, and SAP
• You are an exceptional communicator that excels at compelling storytelling and presentations
• You have experience managing business stakeholders and engaging with many diverse technical teams to aligning deliverables
• You can distill complex solutions and interactions to gain support and engagement with senior leaders and business stakeholders
• You have experience working with IT vendors and corporate partners
• Bachelor\'s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business or other technical disciplines

Great-to-haves

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with FinOps and Cloud platform budget management
• PMP, Agile, CSM certifications
