Project Manager (IT) - Senior

Job Location: Hybrid (In the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and any other scheduled day), Downtown, Edmonton.

We are looking for a Project Manager to work on the design/implementation plan/program development plan for various projects within the technology delivery space of the Alberta Courts. In addition to other projects, the primary project this resource will be allocated to is the Point of Sales modernization project.

Must have

Proposed resource has agreed to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance including a credit check prior to commencement. Proposed resource must have the last 3 years continuous residency in either Canada or United States as minimum. This is a requirement for the Enhanced Security Clearance Experience assisting clients to execute strategies with technology, process, organizational design and IT operations. Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios. Experience developing and delivering communications and presentations at multiple levels of an organization. (eg. Executive Management, Management, Program Sponsors, Steering Committee, Branch Managers, End Users) Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships across the organization, from front line staff to executives. Experience using analytical and problem solving skills to plan and design creative solutions. Experience with business writing, communication and documentation. Experience with change management. Experience with information management concepts, privacy, and security issues relating to ATIA (Access to Information Act) and POPA (Protection of Privacy Act) - previously known as FOIP Experience with the development of communications plans. Experience working with system stakeholders in the development and maintenance of IT applications.

Nice to Have

Experience at the senior management level or above in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the GoA. Experience creating flowcharts/diagrams/analyses, including but not limited to activity, process flow, data flow, entity relationship, mind map, roadmap/plan, gap analysis, organizational chart, SWOT analysis, RACI matrix, UI wireframes, user personas/journey maps. Experience evaluating policies, programs, and initiatives using program development principles Experience in a leadership and/or facilitation role. Experience in managing projects in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the GoA. Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits Experience in the design, development and implementation of a digital transformation initiative or digital delivery program Experience leading an organization through a large scale technology change impacting all levels of the organization. Experience with financial reporting and modeling. Experience with government planning and budgeting processes and procedures. Experience with systems development methodologies and life cycles for application development. Experience with the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.). Experience with the development of information management or related types of policies, standards and practices.
