We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Construction team in Toronto. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects across Oxford's GTA construction portfolio with a focus on the residential portfolio. The Project Manager will manage projects from inception to completion, with a strong focus on quality, schedule, and budget. The role requires excellent organizational skills, a fundamental understanding of the Toronto construction industry, and advanced communication skills.



As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:



Working closely with all stakeholders to identify potential projects, establish preliminary budgets, and assist in initial project approval



Working with the team in developing a project execution strategy.



Leading the consultant and construction team through different project phrases.



Development of project procedures



Administrating multiple contracts



Assist in management of permit process.



Preparing documents for solicitation of CM bids, de-scope bids, award contracts and oversee buyout process



Preparing original schedules and work with CM's to maintain and update detailed project schedules



Updating overall project budgets regularly, and provide weekly updates to the Director and Vice President of Construction



Review potential change orders and work with the team to identify the option that provides the most value to Oxford



Generating and administering construction contracts:

conducting construction job inspections, approving requisitions, monitoring quality control, and managing contractors and suppliers



Acting as conduit between contractors, property management, and the leasing team on all projects



Managing multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining strong attention to detail



Excellent written and oral communication skills



Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to all (both external and internal)



To succeed in this role, you:



Will have at least 5 years of project management experience in the GTA Construction market



Have experience managing projects of similar scope and size as required



We are continually searching for ways to improve our delivery, which requires an ability to adapt to new methods, and a desire to introduce new initiatives to the team



Possess excellent project management and communication skills are required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels to move projects along and meet all deadlines



Literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project applications is required



Broad understand of CCDCs contracts



knowledge of project management construction software system (ie Procore/Bim Field 360, Prolog, Plan Grid)



Thinks and acts strategic.



Ability to understand and follow directions



Ability to meet critical deadlines



Strong decision making/problem solving skills
