Position: Senior Project Manager
Location: Toronto
Job Type: 2 year contract
Salary: $90 to $110 per hour
Quantum has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction and renovation projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction/renovation projects from initiation to completion. The candidate\'s role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects within specified parameters. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of the an understanding of the construction process for commercial spaces (both occupied and unoccupied, leased and owned).
Requirements for this opportunity :
- Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A master\'s degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial renovations, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of commercial renovations and construction processes, including design, permitting, procurement, and construction management
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to commercial construction projects
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams towards project goals
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions to project challenges
- Proficient in project management software tools, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) is required
- Professional certification as Construction Manager (CM) is an asset
- Ability to travel to project sites as required
