SUMMARY

The Senior Project Coordinator is accountable for the effective delivery of assigned project sub components and supports overall project delivery through provision of project coordination, documentation, reporting and administration support.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project and Project Sub Component Coordination

  • Supports the Project Manager in the delivery of projects through effective coordination and delivery of assigned project sub components and non-technical projects.
  • Determines and prepares resource requirements and cost estimates for review for assigned sub components and non-technical projects.
  • Creates schedules, coordinates delivery, monitors progress and ensures completion of sub components within overall project(s) and assigned projects.
  • Ensures project sub components and projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, environmental and health and safety requirements.
  • Visits project sites to coordinate related activities, as required.
Project Documentation
  • Coordinates and maintains all project documentation such as project plans, meeting minutes, contracts, bid packages, technical and financial close outs, etc.
  • Administers project close out requirements.
Administration
  • Prepares various reports to support monitoring of project costs, key performance indicators, work progress, etc. Reviews and communicates risks to Project Managers.
  • Administers the purchase order process. Reconciles purchase orders to invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Strong project administration and coordination skills.
  • Community college diploma or equivalent training (e.g. RPA, CET)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • High computer proficiency in MS Office applications in particular MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project, with demonstrated ability to learn proprietary databases with quickly.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
  • Demonstrates interest in enrolling in and completing Project Management Professional Certification
