Supreme Steel is looking for a Senior Project Controls person to join our team, for the Aspen Power Station project site near Guernsey, SK. This position will be required to work either at job sites or office locations. The successful candidate's educational credentials may vary. Completion of secondary education is required and may include post-secondary education. Preference will be given to applicants experienced with scheduling using Primavera (P6), change management, cost control, and change estimating. Candidates should be fully competent using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel including preparing project graphs and reports. The successful candidate will be detailed oriented, have strong organizational and leadership skills and communicate effectively.

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Scheduling project resources for the job site

Daily communication with Project Managers and other functional managers

Providing weekly updates to senior level managers

Populating the scheduling based on inputs from the Project Estimators

Analyzing the schedule and help determine execution strategies

Field progressing and reporting

Quantity surveying

Change management

Heavy industrial construction projects

Expert excel and P6 skills

Steel Construction estimating skills

Having proven experience with structural steel fabrication and erection projects, the successful candidate will also possess the following attributes:

Minimum 5-10 years' experience with P6 Scheduling and associated project controls duties

Solves problems and contributes new ideas that improve quality and efficiency

Previous experience with shutdown scheduling

Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

Time management skills
