Our hands-on approach to project execution enables every team member to actively participate in all phases of design.

The Senior Project Architect, Toronto, ON is ultimately responsible for the execution of design projects with a focus on, coordinating design disciplines and over-seeing the work of junior architectural staff and ensuring the technical accuracy/adequacy, safety, constructability, maintainability, cost effectiveness and timely completion of designs, and preparation of construction documents.

  • Responsible for coordinating project disciplines including architects, in-house engineering staff or consulting engineers, and the client as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
  • Assists in planning and developing architectural projects
  • Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.
  • Ultimately responsible for the execution of designs with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Capable of interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments, staff, and scope of work based on the client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements.
  • Utilizes knowledge of computer software to convey the project intent


The Senior Project Architect performs design work for a wide variety of project types, including but not limited to new construction and renovation work primarily for transit and transit related buildings.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed Architect with major transit project responsibility Preferred.
  • (15) or more years of experience as a Licensed OAA Architect who plans, develops, executes, and coordinates medium to large scope projects with many complexities
  • Experience overseeing team of architects, engineers, and technical personnel with minimal supervision.
  • Must be familiar with budgeting procedures and practices.
  • Advanced skills with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Building Information Modeling (BIM), knowledgeable in the use of Sketch-up, 3D software, Rendering software, Photoshop.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be capable of communicating / presenting concepts through verbal, written, or drawing medium.
  • Must have strong graphic presentation skills and abilities to present to clients and project teams.

Education Required:
  • Bachelors of Architecture Degree and or a Master of Architecture
  • Membership in good standing with the Ontario Association of Architects (with a professional seal as required) is mandatory
